Mrs. C.A. Howkins
Funeral service for Mrs. Cora Ann Howkins, wife of Joseph J. Howkins, 41 Wellington Street, who passed away at her residence on Sunday, took place from Centre Street Baptist Church, on Wednesday afternoon. Service was conducted by Rev. R.D. Harmer, assisted by Rev. Frank Swackhammer of Oshawa. A Garraway was the organist, assisted by the choir. The soloist was Charles Kerr. Interment was in the Elmdale Memorial Park. The pallbearers were Harry Chater, Clare Clark, Fred Eaton, William Billings, Mike Sharkey and William Edwards. Relatives and friends were in attendance from Cleveland, Detroit, St. Thomas and surrounding districts.

Mrs. Cora Howkins Dies at Residence
Mrs. Cora A. Howkins, wife of Joseph J. Howkins, of 41 Wellington Street, died at her home, Sunday morning folling a lengthy illness. She was 90.
Born in Elkhart, Indiana, she was the daugher of the late Hiram and Eliza Rushton. She was an active member of Centre Street Baptist Church and a member of the Lady Trainmen.
Besides her husband she is survived by several nieces and nephews among whom are Mrs. William (Ariel) Billings, Huron Beach, Michigan and Sister Blanche, of Charity Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio.
At rest at the Willimas Funeral Home and funeral arrangements are incomplete. Rev. R.D. Harmer of Centre Street Baptist Church will conduct the service. Interment will be in St. Thomas Cemetery.
Howkins--On Sunday mornng, Feb. 27, 1966, at her residence, 41 Wellington Street, Mrs. Cora Ann (Rushton) Howkins, beloved wife of Joseph J. Howkins, 41 Wellington Street: dear aunt of several, among whom are Mrs. William (Ariel) Billings, Huron Beach, Michigan and Sister Blanche, Charity Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio: after an illness of one year, in her 91st year.
